Home for the Holidays!!
Hello Millerton Business Owners, Associates, Neighbors and Friends,
Please put Millerton’s Christmas Tree Lighting and Parade of Lights on your calendars. There are lots of ways to get involved.
Choose one or two and invite friends join you at Millerton’s festive Holiday Kickoff!
Help Decorate Christmas trees on Main Street on Friday afternoon, November 26th, the day after Thanksgiving.
We’ll meet at 2 p.m. at Veteran's Park (across from the Moviehouse), and everyone, children and adults alike, are invited to join in the fun of decorating the trees.
Marshall Miles of Robin Hood Radio will broadcast Holiday Music and talk with passersby about the simply marvelous and cheerful Christmas tree (courtesy of, and thanks to Shandell’s) at the foot of Main Street and
Route 22.
The much anticipated Parade of Lights will start around 6:00 p.m. Brightly lighted and lavishly decorated Fire trucks, from our local area will parade slowly up Main Street, turning north on Maple Ave (at Cumberland Farm), and finally, east on Century Blvd, and come to a halt at the Millerton Fire House.
Girls and Boys from the Scouts, American Legion and Firehouse are participating. Merchants and others will provide cookies and hot chocolate. (If possible, please take a moment, and bake or buy a batch of cookies.)
There's a party for everyone at the Firehouse afterwards, and rumor has it that (sshhh!) Santa will be there!!!
Feel free to forward this note to friends and family who might not have received this notice.
PLEASE watch for INFORMATION UPDATES.
On behalf of the Millerton Business Group,
Marty Reynolds
